Sunrise... Sunset

This look is just something i put together on the way to work... hahahahaha! that sounds so weird. but anyhooo. i had the darndest time getting these colors to really pop in the photos as much as they did in real life. *sigh* i may need to invest in a good camera... u know... one that doesn't double as my phone. lol! it's an amazing fuchsia pink color at the base. but instead of just gradually fading out into a lighter pink, i went into a lighter pink and then into yellow and finished with white... not white like wtf, but enough for it to not be yellow all at my brow line. then i added white into the inner corners of my eyes and blending them into the fuchsia made a really great effect... it reminds me of a nice sunrise.. or sunset.... liner and lashes of course and i was ready for a day of lots of work and random photo taking. ;-) enjoy....

photo collages make everything more fun! haha!

you see where i'm going with this whole sunrise sunset thing right?

Hair Care Continued....

so.... yea, i posted about Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion shampoo and conditioner and Dr. Miracle's Hot Gro scalp stimulating stuff a few weeks ago right? And i raved about how i LOVE the shampoo and conditioner but would have to adjust to the hot grow stuff right?... so... still in love with the shampoo and conditioner.... i've taken my use of the hot grow down to using it once after shampooing.... 2 to 3 times per week... it's just too greasy and i do not like having greasy hair... i'd rather it be a little more fluffy. hahaha! anyway, the keratin infusion is pretty fantastic and now that i'm getting slightly low on it, i'm contemplating if i'll buy more or try yet another new something... but i am pretty happy with my hair right now.. it look WAY healthier than it did, so i can't really be mad at that... but i think i wanna try that WEN stuff... it looks pretty classy... if only they sold it in hell- i mean at wal-mart. lol! but we'll see what i decide. my hair's feelin might-tee fine lately

on another note... i've been using the dr. miracle's hot gro as a lip balm... and i LOVE IT!!! don't judge me.

Feeling Pretty in Pink!

Sometimes u have to just go with what feels right. I really wanted to go kind of over the top with my makeup today... being that it is tuesday. hahahaha!.... but i just felt.... pink. I wore my amazing new ankle booties and i couldn't think of a better face to put on than one that consisted of pink lips and a little pink on my eyes. And the best part is that I altered my lipstick by adding a little shadow so I'm kind of wearing my own creation... it's a reach, but so what? ;-)....

so.... of course I used my Mary Kay Time Wise Liquid Foundation in bronze 3... Mary Kay Mineral Bronzing Powder in Canyon Gold  AND Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Golden Copper....
on my eyes and brows, i started with Mary Kay Eye Primer, then I defined my Brows using a dark brown from my BH Party Girl Palette, I used a bronze/ gold color from the same palette from my lash line to my brow, defined my crease with the same dark brown i used for my brows and used a shimmery pink on the inner corners of my eyes.....
Finished the eyes up with Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner and Kiss #05 lashes...  YAY!....
On my lips, I moisturized with Mary Kay Lip Balm (blotted off the excess), then i applied Wet n Wild lipstick #511B with a lip brush... again blotting off the excess, and THEN i took the same pink shadow from my BH Party Girl Palette and coated my lips with it. The color is vivid, soft and borders on bright and pastel.. LOVE!....

Webcam Pic!... cuz i felt like it... check the pink nails...

These Boots!!!! I found them on www.amiclubwear.com in the clearance section while they were having this ridiculous sale for... (pause for effect).... $8.99!!!!! They must have been posted at that price on accident because after i finalized my purchase, i could NOT find them in the clearance section anymore, but i did find them with the non-clearance items for $30something... come up!  so yea, super comfy, and i'm in love!

The rest of my clothes r black and since, as i've mentioned before, i'm all kinds of pregnant... i'm gonna keep the camera off this body of mine.... Hope u like my style today! it's not over the top by any means... but it's cute and comfortable... and i feel pretty!

Hibiscus It Is!

I've been a lot more adventurous with my lip colors this past year and a half... and by adventurous, i me wearing more than just lip gloss. I've found some fun pinks and reds that I really liked, but today, I just stumbled upon my new ABSOLUTE FAVORITE lipstick! So I've had my eye one this color for, like, months now and I finally got the courage up to just get it and try it out. It's Mary Kay Cream Lipstick in Hibiscus and.... I just love it!... thought I'd share that. lol ;-)
via my webcam at work...

and from my phone!

Ok, so I don't only LOVE the color, I love the ease in which it goes on (meaning it only takes 1 sweep to get this vibrant color... although who stops at 1 sweep?), as well as how my lips don't feel dried out after a couple of hours.... they did feel a bit dryer after I ate a million polly seeds (yes, i said polly seeds, and i refuse to call them anything else) but who's wouldn't. and even then, all I had to do was add a light sweep to renew it and BOOM! that's what ur seeing in these pics... these r post polly seed photos ppl! hahahahahaha! anywoo, I also picked up MK Cream Lipstick in Red and i'm looking forward to killing the game with that as well. lol! don't deprive urself of amazing color like this ppl... i regret waiting so long to get this lipstick! ;-*

Trying New Things on My Hair...

For the most part, I've never stuck with just 1 product on my hair. Aside from the protein treatment and the brand of dye I use, I'm always looking for something that will make me fall in love with my hair all over again. Lol! Since my hair is curly/ wavy, fine and color-treated, my main concerns are usually moisture, softness and shine. But as of maybe a few months ago, I noticed that breakage is much worse than it used to be.... yes, this is common with the blonde... and i've been slackin on my protein treatment... shut up. But I had chopped off something like 2.5 inches of my hair, thinking it would continue to grow at its normal rate... and it didn't... well, it did. I still needed to hit up these roots right around the same time, but it didn't seem to be getting much longer. THESE ARE THE BREAKS! hahahahahaha! so taking better care of my hair, usually keeps it from breaking and I just dropped the ball... what to do?... try something I saw in a commercial of course! Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion shampoo and conditioner. Seriously?... $2.97 in hell- i mean at walmart? WINNING!
I got the color care for obvious reasons

I almost grabbed the leave-in treatment as well, but I figured since that was geared toward the health of my hair, I'd get something else that was more for the health of my scalp. so.... LOVE the shampoo and conditioner instantly! Love the smell, the texture and Love the way my hair feels after 2 uses... now... usually, 2 days later I wouldn't have washed my hair twice yet... but the product that I decided to try for my scalp health and growth promotion was......

Dr. Miracle Hot Grow... it says that it tingles and promotes growth and moisturizes and strengthen and all of that and it says that u should massage it into ur scalp twice per day... well... i don't have the thirstiest of scalps/ hair and I really don't know how else to describe my hair other than that it's the kind of hair that white or latino ppl have when they have curly hair... it's not thick, it's not coarse... it's curly/wavy and it takes a lot of scrunching to get it to have the kind of volume that i like.... so.. this stuff is like grease... grease on a white girl's hair is never good, even when it's curly... so yea... that means i had/ have to wash my hair more often. Weird that I used to wash it less so I would retain more moisture and shine and now I have to wash it more to maintain a non-greasey head of hair... idk how I like it so I'm going to keep it up until I can genuinely tell if it works or not. I read some reviews for it and everyone, except those with braids said how greasy it was and I was relieved to see a review from a caucasion woman who says she had pretty coarse hair and had to stray from the twice per day rules and wash a little more often to see the kind of results that she like... Anyhoo, my hair is much shinier already and it appears to like what i'm doing to it... we'll see how my hair feels in a few weeks tho.... All in all, right now, I say try the suave professionals. It's great!

Another Entry... Maybe

So i told u all about the Inglot Tropical Looks competition and how u can submit multiple looks and blah blah blah... i've post 3 looks and i worked on another and it didn't quite blow me away, but i still think i may post in... what do u think?...
